  1. Serve as a subject matter expert on revenue cycle management and compliance, staying up-to-date on industry regulations and best practices.
  2. Collaborate with revenue cycle team to develop and implement strategies for optimizing revenue and reducing costs.
  3. Provide clinical expertise and guidance to revenue cycle team, ensuring accurate and compliant billing practices.
  4. Review and analyze medical records and documentation to identify opportunities for improvement and compliance.
  5. Identify and troubleshoot revenue cycle issues, providing recommendations for process improvements.
  6. Educate and train physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals on revenue cycle management and compliance.
  7. Serve as a liaison between clinical and revenue cycle departments, promoting effective communication and collaboration.
  8. Conduct audits and reviews to ensure compliance with coding and billing guidelines.
  9. Develop and implement protocols and policies to improve revenue cycle processes and outcomes.
  10. Analyze data and trends to identify areas of improvement and proactively address potential issues.
  11. Act as a resource for revenue cycle team, providing support and guidance as needed.
  12. Collaborate with leadership to develop and implement revenue cycle goals and objectives.
  13. Stay informed on industry trends and changes, and make recommendations for adapting to these changes.
  14. Participate in revenue cycle meetings and committees, providing clinical input and insights.
  15. Represent the organization as a revenue cycle expert in external meetings and conferences.
  16. Adhere to all organizational policies and procedures, as well as regulatory requirements.

Job Qualifications
  • Medical Degree And Licensure: A Revenue Cycle Physician Advisor At Uchealth Must Possess A Medical Degree From An Accredited Institution And Hold A Valid State Medical License.

  • Clinical Experience: The Ideal Candidate Must Have At Least 5 Years Of Clinical Experience As A Practicing Physician In A Hospital Or Healthcare Setting.

  • Knowledge Of Revenue Cycle Management: The Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Revenue Cycle Management Processes And Systems, Including Coding, Billing, And Reimbursement Rules And Regulations.
