Job Description

We are currently seeking a compassionate and highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Medical Office Neurosciences team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with patients and their families, utilizing your expertise in neurosciences to provide comprehensive care.   1. Provide exceptional care and support to patients in the neurosciences department.
  2. Utilize expertise in neurosciences to provide comprehensive care to patients.
  3. Work closely with patients and their families to ensure their needs are met.
  4. Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and established protocols.
  5. Monitor patients' vital signs and response to treatments and report any changes or concerns to the physician.
  6. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
  7. Educate patients and families on disease processes, treatment options, and self-care techniques.
  8. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and interactions.
  9. Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and standards of care.
  10. Keep abreast of advancements and best practices in neurosciences nursing through continuing education and professional development.
  11. Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families during difficult times.
  12. Ensure a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.
  13. Serve as an advocate for patients and their families, ensuring their needs and concerns are addressed.
  14. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement quality improvement initiatives.
  15. Maintain confidentiality and privacy of patient information.
  16. Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of departmental goals and initiatives.
  17. Adhere to all regulatory and accreditation standards.
  18. Demonstrate a commitment to patient-centered care and the mission and values of UCHealth.
  19. Actively participate in professional development opportunities and maintain current knowledge of neurosciences nursing practices.
  20. Assist with training and mentoring new staff members.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing: A Minimum Of A Bachelor Of Science In Nursing (Bsn) Is Typically Required For A Registered Nurse Position At Uchealth. This Degree Provides A Strong Foundation In Nursing Theory, Clinical Skills, And Research, Which Are Essential For Providing High-Quality Care In A Medical Office Setting.

  • Current Rn Licensure In The State Of Colorado: All Registered Nurses At Uchealth Must Hold A Valid And Active Rn License In The State Of Colorado. This Ensures That They Have Met The Necessary Education And Competency Requirements To Provide Safe And Effective Care To Patients.

  • Experience In Neurosciences Or Related Field: The Medical Office Neurosciences Department At Uchealth Focuses On The Diagnosis And Treatment Of Conditions Affecting The Brain, Spinal Cord, And Nervous System. Therefore, Candidates With Previous Experience In Neurology, Neurosurgery, Or A Related Field Are Preferred For This Position.

  • Bls And Acls Certification: Basic Life Support (Bls) And Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Acls) Certifications Are Required For All Registered Nurses At Uchealth. These Certifications Ensure That Nurses Have The Necessary Skills To Respond To Emergency Situations And Provide Life-Saving Interventions If Needed.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Registered Nurse In A Medical Office Setting, Effective Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Essential For Collaborating With Patients, Families, And Other Healthcare Professionals. Candidates Should Possess The Ability To Listen Actively, Provide Clear Explanations, And Build Rapport With Diverse Individuals.
