We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in the Labor and Delivery Birth Center.   1. Develop and maintain a deep understanding of UCHealth's mission and values, and consistently embody them in all interactions with patients, families, and colleagues.
  2. Provide exceptional nursing care to expectant mothers and newborns during the labor and delivery process, utilizing evidence-based practices and techniques.
  3. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including physicians, midwives, and other healthcare professionals, to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
  4. Monitor and assess patients' physical and emotional well-being during labor, delivery, and postpartum period, and respond promptly to any changes or concerns.
  5. Administer medications, perform procedures, and provide education and support to patients and their families throughout the childbirth experience.
  6. Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
  7. Serve as an advocate for patients and their families, ensuring their needs and preferences are respected and addressed.
  8. Remain current on advancements and best practices in labor and delivery nursing, and actively participate in professional development opportunities.
  9. Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols to maintain a safe and healthy environment for patients, families, and staff.
  10. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment by promoting teamwork, communication, and mutual respect among colleagues.
  11. Act as a resource and mentor for less experienced nurses, providing guidance, support, and feedback as needed.
  12. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the ongoing development and enhancement of departmental policies and procedures.
  13. Attend and actively participate in staff meetings, trainings, and other hospital events as required.
  14. Continuously strive to uphold UCHealth's reputation for excellence in patient care and customer service.

Job Qualifications
  • Current Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Of Colorado.

  • Bls And Acls Certification.

  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing (Bsn) From An Accredited Program.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Labor And Delivery (L&D) Or Obstetrics (Ob) Nursing.

  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (Nrp) Certification.
