Active Rn License: A Registered Nurse - Infusion At Uchealth Must Have A Current And Active Rn License In The State In Which They Will Be Working.
Bls Certification: Basic Life Support (Bls) Certification Is Required For All Rn Positions At Uchealth, Including Those In Infusion. This Certification Ensures That The Nurse Is Trained In Life-Saving Techniques Such As Cpr.
Infusion Experience: Candidates For This Position Should Have Experience In Administering Intravenous (Iv) Medications And Treatments. This Could Include Experience In An Infusion Center, Chemotherapy Unit, Or Other Similar Setting.
Knowledge Of Infusion Therapies: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of The Various Infusion Therapies Used In Healthcare, Including Iv Medications, Blood Products, And Total Parenteral Nutrition (Tpn). They Should Also Be Familiar With Related Equipment And Procedures.
Attention To Detail: As Infusion Therapy Involves Administering Medications And Treatments Directly Into A Patient's Bloodstream, It Is Crucial That The Rn Has A Keen Eye For Detail And Is Able To Follow Strict Protocols And Procedures To Ensure Patient Safety. This Includes Accurately Documenting And Monitoring Patient Responses To Infusion Therapy.
