Job Description

Are you a compassionate and highly skilled Registered Nurse with a passion for forensic nursing? UCHealth is seeking a talented individual to join our team as a Telehealth Forensic Nurse Examiner. In this role, you will have the opportunity to provide remote medical and forensic evaluations for patients who have experienced violence or abuse.   1. Conduct remote medical and forensic evaluations for patients who have experienced violence or abuse.
  2. Provide compassionate and empathetic care to patients during the evaluation process.
  3. Utilize expertise in forensic nursing to accurately assess and document injuries and evidence of violence.
  4. Collaborate with law enforcement, legal teams, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care for patients.
  5. Advocate for patients and support them in seeking justice and healing.
  6. Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to all legal and ethical standards in handling sensitive information.
  7. Stay updated on current trends and advancements in forensic nursing to continuously improve the quality of care.
  8. Demonstrate attention to detail in documentation and evidence collection.
  9. Educate patients and their families on the forensic examination process and available resources.
  10. Collaborate with Telehealth team members to ensure seamless and efficient delivery of services.
  11. Adhere to all policies and procedures of UCHealth and maintain a safe and professional work environment.
  12. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient interactions and evaluations.
  13. Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
  14. Demonstrate a strong commitment to patient advocacy and ethical practices.
  15. Serve as a positive and professional representative of UCHealth and the forensic nursing specialty.

Job Qualifications
  • Active Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Of Colorado Or Eligibility To Obtain One.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience As A Forensic Nurse Examiner (Fne) Or Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (Sane).

  • Certification As A Sane Or Completion Of A Recognized Fne Training Program.

  • Strong Knowledge And Understanding Of Forensic Evidence Collection And Chain Of Custody Procedures.

  • Experience With Telehealth Technology And Ability To Provide Virtual Care To Patients In A Compassionate And Effective Manner.
