  1. Administer Radiation Therapy: The Radiation Therapist will be responsible for administering radiation therapy treatments to patients according to prescribed treatment plans.
  2. Monitor Patient Progress: The Radiation Therapist will closely monitor patient progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans as needed.
  3. Collaborate with Medical Team: The Radiation Therapist will work closely with the medical team, including radiation oncologists and physicists, to ensure accurate treatment delivery.
  4. Educate Patients: The Radiation Therapist will educate patients on the treatment process and any potential side effects, as well as provide emotional support and answer any questions or concerns they may have.
  5. Ensure Safety Protocols: The Radiation Therapist will strictly adhere to safety protocols and procedures to ensure the safety of patients, staff, and themselves.
  6. Maintain Equipment: The Radiation Therapist will be responsible for maintaining and calibrating radiation therapy equipment to ensure accurate treatment delivery.
  7. Document Patient Care: The Radiation Therapist will accurately document all patient care and treatment information in medical records and reports.
  8. Participate in Quality Improvement: The Radiation Therapist will actively participate in quality improvement initiatives to ensure the highest standard of patient care.
  9. Stay Current on Industry Developments: The Radiation Therapist will stay up-to-date on industry developments and advancements in radiation therapy to continuously improve their skills and knowledge.
  10. Maintain Patient Confidentiality: The Radiation Therapist will maintain patient confidentiality and follow all HIPAA regulations.
  11. Provide Compassionate Care: The Radiation Therapist will provide compassionate care to patients and their families, understanding the emotional and physical toll of cancer treatment.

Job Qualifications
  • Excellent Communication And Patient Care Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively In A Team Environment.

  • Bachelor's Degree In Radiation Therapy Or Related Field From An Accredited Institution.

  • Certification From The American Registry Of Radiologic Technologists (Arrt) In Radiation Therapy.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Clinical Experience In A Radiation Therapy Setting.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Radiation Therapy Techniques And Procedures, Including Knowledge Of Linear Accelerators And Treatment Planning Software.
