- Administer radiation therapy treatments to patients in a safe and accurate manner.
- Monitor and assess patient response to treatments, making necessary adjustments as directed by the physician.
- Collaborate with a team of medical professionals, including physicians, nurses, and other therapists, to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Ensure proper positioning and immobilization of patients during treatments to ensure accurate delivery of radiation.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of treatment plans, progress, and any adverse reactions.
- Operate and maintain radiation therapy equipment, including performing quality assurance checks and reporting any malfunctions.
- Educate patients and their families on treatment procedures and potential side effects.
- Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols and radiation protection guidelines.
- Participate in ongoing training and education to stay updated on new technology and techniques in the field of radiation therapy.
- Maintain a compassionate and professional demeanor with patients and their families, providing emotional support and addressing any concerns or questions.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as medical physics, dosimetry, and simulation, to ensure efficient and effective delivery of patient care.
- Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives to continuously enhance patient care and outcomes.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or medical director.
Bachelor's Degree In Radiation Therapy Or Related Field From An Accredited Institution
Current Certification From The American Registry Of Radiologic Technologists (Arrt)
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Clinical Setting, Preferably In Radiation Therapy
Strong Knowledge Of Radiation Safety Protocols And Procedures
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Interact With Patients, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Professionals
