  1. Provide high-quality patient care: The Physician Assistant will be responsible for providing excellent patient care, including conducting initial evaluations, performing physical examinations, and developing treatment plans for patients with cardiovascular conditions.
  2. Collaborate with healthcare team: The PA will work closely with physicians and other healthcare providers to deliver comprehensive care to patients. This includes consulting with specialists, coordinating with nurses and other support staff, and providing updates on patient progress.
  3. Conduct diagnostic tests: The PA will be responsible for conducting and interpreting various diagnostic tests, such as EKGs and stress tests, to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
  4. Assist in procedures: The PA will assist physicians in various procedures, such as cardiac catheterizations and electrophysiology studies, by providing support and ensuring patient safety.
  5. Monitor patient progress: The PA will monitor patient progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans as needed. This includes tracking medication regimens, conducting follow-up appointments, and addressing any concerns or issues that may arise.
  6. Educate patients and families: The PA will educate patients and their families on their condition, treatment options, and ways to manage their condition at home. This may include providing resources, answering questions, and addressing any concerns.
  7. Maintain accurate records: The PA will maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including medical history, test results, and treatment plans. This is essential for continuity of care and ensuring quality documentation.
  8. Stay current on medical advancements: The PA will stay up-to-date on the latest advancements and developments in the field of electrophysiology and cardiology to provide the best possible care to patients.
  9. Adhere to policies and regulations: The PA will adhere to all hospital and department policies, as well as state and federal regulations, to ensure ethical and legal standards are met in patient care.

Job Qualifications
  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience As A Physician Assistant In A Cardiology Or Electrophysiology Setting.

  • Current Certification As A Physician Assistant By The National Commission On Certification Of Physician Assistants (Nccpa).

  • Knowledge And Proficiency In Diagnosing And Treating Cardiac Arrhythmias, Including The Ability To Perform Diagnostic Tests Such As Electrocardiograms And Stress Tests.

  • Ability To Independently Manage Patients With Complex Cardiac Conditions, Including Prescribing And Administering Medications, Ordering And Interpreting Diagnostic Tests, And Providing Patient Education.

  • Strong Communication Skills And The Ability To Work Collaboratively With A Multidisciplinary Team Of Physicians, Nurses, And Other Healthcare Professionals.
