  1. Perform phlebotomy procedures on patients of all ages, ensuring the accuracy and safety of all blood collections.
  2. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to prevent any potential risks or hazards during blood collection.
  3. Build and maintain positive relationships with patients by displaying a friendly and professional demeanor.
  4. Educate and reassure patients about the phlebotomy process, addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
  5. Label, process, and transport collected blood samples to the laboratory for testing.
  6. Accurately record and maintain all patient information and test results in electronic medical records.
  7. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure efficient and timely processing of blood samples.
  8. Maintain cleanliness and organization of phlebotomy area and equipment to ensure a safe and sterile environment.
  9. Stay up-to-date on all phlebotomy techniques, procedures, and safety measures through continuous education and training.
  10. Provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families, ensuring a positive experience during their visit.
  11. Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
  12. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or concerns related to phlebotomy procedures, equipment, or patient samples.
  13. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to ensure the highest level of patient care.
  14. Take initiative to identify and report any potential risks or hazards to superiors.
  15. Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth and efficient workflow.
  16. Maintain inventory and order necessary supplies to ensure uninterrupted phlebotomy services.
  17. Attend departmental meetings and training sessions to stay informed of any changes or updates.
  18. Embrace and uphold the organization's mission, vision, and values in all interactions with patients and colleagues.

Job Qualifications
  • Completion Of An Accredited Phlebotomy Program: Candidates Must Have Completed An Accredited Phlebotomy Program And Possess A Certificate Or Degree In Phlebotomy.

  • Valid Certification: Candidates Must Hold A Valid Certification From A Recognized Organization Such As The American Society For Clinical Pathology (Ascp) Or The National Healthcareer Association (Nha).

  • Previous Experience: Prior Experience In A Healthcare Setting Or As A Phlebotomist Is Highly Preferred. This Experience Should Include Venipuncture, Specimen Collection, And Handling.

  • Knowledge Of Safety And Infection Control Protocols: Candidates Must Have A Thorough Understanding Of Safety And Infection Control Protocols In Order To Ensure The Safety Of Patients And Staff.

  • Excellent Communication Skills: The Ability To Effectively Communicate With Patients, Healthcare Professionals, And Team Members Is Essential For Success In This Role. Candidates Should Possess Strong Interpersonal And Customer Service Skills.
