- Accurately and efficiently prepare and dispense medication orders for patients, ensuring the correct drug, dosage, and instructions are provided.
- Perform inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and stocking medications and supplies.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety and regulatory guidelines.
- Collaborate with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to ensure timely and accurate medication delivery and patient care.
- Communicate effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies to resolve any medication-related issues.
- Perform medication reconciliation and assist with medication therapy management, as needed.
- Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
- Operate and maintain pharmacy equipment, such as automated dispensing machines and compounding equipment.
- Participate in training and education programs to stay current on pharmacy practices and procedures.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
- Continuously monitor and improve the quality of services provided, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.
- Assist with other pharmacy duties as needed, including billing, insurance claims processing, and patient counseling.
- Adhere to all infection control and safety protocols to ensure a safe and healthy work environment for staff and patients.

High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Equivalent Is Required For The Role Of A Pharmacy Technician At Uchealth. This Demonstrates A Basic Level Of Education And Understanding Necessary For The Job.
Pharmacy Technician Certification: Candidates Must Possess A Valid Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (Ptcb) Or National Healthcareer Association (Nha) Certification. This Ensures That The Candidate Has Completed A Recognized Training Program And Is Knowledgeable In Pharmacy Operations.
Previous Experience In A Pharmacy Setting: Previous Work Experience As A Pharmacy Technician Is Preferred. This Demonstrates Familiarity With Pharmacy Procedures, Medication Dosages, And Drug Interactions.
