- Ensure the comfort and well-being of patients during transport.
- Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team members.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures when transporting patients.

- Collaborate with other healthcare team members to ensure timely and efficient patient care.
- Respond to urgent and emergency transport requests in a timely manner.

High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Level Of Education Is Required To Apply For The Patient Transporter Role At Uchealth. This Ensures That The Candidate Has Basic Reading, Writing, And Math Skills Necessary For The Job.
Customer Service Skills: As A Patient Transporter, You Will Be Interacting With Patients And Their Families On A Daily Basis. Excellent Customer Service Skills Are Essential To Ensure A Positive Experience For Patients And Their Families.
Physical Ability: This Job Requires A Significant Amount Of Physical Activity, Such As Pushing Patients In Wheelchairs And Lifting Heavy Equipment. Therefore, Candidates Should Have The Physical Ability To Perform These Tasks.
Basic Medical Knowledge: While Not Required, Having A Basic Understanding Of Medical Terminology And Procedures Can Be Beneficial In This Role. It Helps The Patient Transporter To Understand The Needs Of The Patients And Communicate Effectively With Other Healthcare Staff.
Cpr Certification: In Case Of An Emergency, A Patient Transporter May Need To Perform Basic Life Support Techniques. Having A Valid Cpr Certification Is A Plus For This Job And Demonstrates The Candidate's Preparedness For Potential Emergencies.
