
Patient Care Assistant - Rehab

- Provide compassionate and exceptional care to patients in the Rehab unit.
- Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and eating.
- Monitor and record patients' vital signs and report any changes to the nursing staff.
- Help patients with mobility and exercises as prescribed by the rehabilitation team.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients by following infection control protocols.
- Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and the healthcare team.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best patient outcomes.
- Participate in patient care conferences and provide input on patients' progress.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
- Attend training and educational sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Keep accurate documentation of patient care and interventions.
- Follow departmental policies and procedures.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.
- Assist in the admission, transfer, and discharge process of patients.

High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Equivalent Is Required For This Position. This Ensures That The Candidate Has A Basic Level Of Education And Understanding To Perform The Duties Of A Patient Care Assistant.
Certified Nursing Assistant (Cna) Certification: A Valid Cna Certification Is Necessary For This Role. This Certification Indicates That The Candidate Has Received Proper Training And Is Equipped With The Necessary Skills To Provide Basic Patient Care.
Previous Experience In A Healthcare Setting: Prior Experience Working In A Hospital Or Rehabilitation Center Will Be Preferred. This Shows That The Candidate Has A Basic Understanding Of The Healthcare Environment And Is Familiar With Patient Care Protocols.
Basic Life Support (Bls) Certification: A Current Bls Certification Is Required For This Position. This Certification Ensures That The Candidate Has The Necessary Knowledge And Skills To Respond To Medical Emergencies And Provide Basic Life Support.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Essential For A Patient Care Assistant - Rehab. The Candidate Must Be Able To Effectively Communicate With Patients, Their Families, And Other Healthcare Professionals To Ensure Quality Care And A Positive Patient Experience.
