
Patient Access Specialist, Senior

- Accurately register patients for appointments and procedures using electronic medical records system.
- Schedule appointments and procedures for patients, taking into account physician availability and patient preferences.
- Obtain necessary insurance and demographic information from patients to ensure accurate billing and record-keeping.
- Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and other healthcare team members to ensure smooth and efficient processes.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients by addressing any questions or concerns and ensuring a positive experience.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance at all times.
- Continuously monitor and improve registration and scheduling processes to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate patient care and ensure a seamless experience.
- Train and mentor new staff members and provide ongoing support and guidance to team members.
- Keep up-to-date with insurance policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure compliance.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote a professional and welcoming atmosphere.
- Demonstrate a positive attitude and foster a team-oriented work culture.
- Adhere to all UCHealth policies and procedures, including safety protocols and ethical standards.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to continuously improve job knowledge and skills.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In A Hospital Or Healthcare Setting, Preferably In A Patient Access Or Registration Role.
Extensive Knowledge Of Insurance Verification, Authorizations, And Billing Processes.
Excellent Communication, Customer Service, And Problem-Solving Skills.
Proficiency In Electronic Medical Records And Patient Registration Systems.
Bachelor's Degree In Healthcare Administration, Business, Or Related Field Preferred.
