In this role, you will play a crucial part in the patient journey by being the first point of contact for our patients and ensuring their access to quality healthcare services.   1. Greet and welcome patients and visitors to UCHealth with a friendly and professional demeanor.
  2. Serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing them with necessary information and directing them to appropriate resources.
  3. Schedule patient appointments and ensure accurate and timely entry of patient information into the electronic health record system.
  4. Verify patient insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations for procedures.
  5. Collect and record patient demographic and insurance information accurately and confidentially.
  6. Educate patients on financial obligations and assist with financial arrangements as needed.
  7. Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth patient flow and efficient scheduling.
  8. Maintain a thorough understanding of UCHealth services, policies, and procedures to effectively communicate information to patients and visitors.
  9. Handle patient inquiries and complaints in a professional and courteous manner.
  10. Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
  11. Provide exceptional customer service and strive to create a positive experience for all patients.
  12. Continuously improve processes and systems to enhance the patient experience.
  13. Participate in training and development opportunities to stay updated on industry changes and best practices.
  14. Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote a safe and welcoming environment for patients and staff.
  15. Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Job Qualifications
  • Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In A Healthcare Or Customer Service Related Field.

  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent, With Additional Education Or Certification In Healthcare Administration Preferred.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Medical Terminology And Insurance Processes.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Interact Effectively With Patients, Families, And Healthcare Professionals.

  • Proficient Computer Skills And Experience With Electronic Medical Records.
