- Greet and welcome patients and visitors to UCHealth with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Provide exceptional customer service and support to patients throughout their entire visit.
- Accurately and efficiently register patients into our electronic medical record system.
- Verify insurance coverage and communicate any potential financial obligations to patients.
- Collect and process payments for services rendered.
- Schedule and confirm appointments for patients in a timely and organized manner.
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure a smooth and efficient patient flow.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulations.
- Respond to patient inquiries and address any concerns or issues in a timely and effective manner.
- Continuously update and maintain patient records with accurate and current information.
- Participate in ongoing training and development to stay up-to-date on healthcare policies, procedures, and technology.
- Handle patient complaints and escalate to the appropriate department or supervisor when necessary.
- Assist with insurance pre-authorizations and referrals for patients.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Act as a positive and professional representative of UCHealth at all times.
High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Educational Requirement For A Patient Access Specialist At Uchealth Is A High School Diploma Or Equivalent. This Ensures That The Candidate Has A Basic Level Of Education And Can Effectively Perform Administrative Tasks.
Prior Experience In A Healthcare Setting: Experience In A Healthcare Setting, Particularly In Patient Registration And Scheduling, Is Highly Preferred For A Patient Access Specialist At Uchealth. This Experience Indicates The Candidate's Familiarity With Medical Terminology, Hipaa Regulations, And Electronic Health Records.
