  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' physical, cognitive, and functional abilities to develop individualized treatment plans
  • Provide evidence-based occupational therapy interventions to patients with a wide range of diagnoses and conditions
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement a multidisciplinary treatment approach
  • Monitor and document patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and communicate updates to the healthcare team
  • Educate patients and their families on home exercise programs and strategies for promoting independence and functional abilities
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with departmental and regulatory guidelines
  • Participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities to remain up-to-date on current best practices and evidence-based treatments
  • Adhere to ethical and professional standards of practice and promote a safe and supportive work environment
  • Act as an advocate for patients and their families by providing emotional support and resources as needed
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and participate in departmental meetings and committees as required.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Occupational Therapy: A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Occupational Therapy Is Required For This Position, With Preference Given To Candidates With A Master's Degree.

  • State Licensure: Candidates Must Be Licensed To Practice Occupational Therapy In The State Of Colorado, With A Current And Valid License.

  • Experience In Acute Care: Previous Experience Working As An Occupational Therapist In An Acute Care Setting Is Preferred. Candidates Should Have A Strong Understanding Of The Unique Needs And Challenges Of Patients In This Setting.

  • Knowledge Of Evidence-Based Practice: Candidates Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Evidence-Based Practice And Be Able To Apply It To Their Treatment Plans.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: The Ability To Effectively Communicate And Build Relationships With Patients, Families, And Interdisciplinary Team Members Is Essential For Success In This Role.
