- Assist in the planning and implementation of nutrition programs for patients according to their individual needs and dietary restrictions.
- Conduct patient screenings and assessments to determine their nutritional needs and develop appropriate meal plans.
- Monitor and document patient food intake and collaborate with healthcare team to make necessary adjustments to meal plans.
- Educate patients and their families on proper nutrition guidelines and healthy eating habits.
- Collaborate with registered dietitians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement nutrition interventions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation related to nutrition services.
- Order and stock food and supplies according to departmental policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with infection control and safety protocols in food preparation and service.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team to ensure a positive and supportive environment.
- Participate in departmental meetings and trainings to stay updated on nutrition trends and best practices.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure food safety and sanitation.
- Adhere to all regulatory and accreditation standards related to nutrition services.
- Continuously evaluate and improve nutrition services to meet the changing needs of patients and the community.
- Act as a positive ambassador for UCHealth and promote the organization's values and mission.
- Uphold confidentiality of patient information and follow HIPAA guidelines.
Bachelor's Degree In Nutrition, Dietetics, Or Related Field.
Previous Experience Working In A Healthcare Setting, Preferably In A Clinical Nutrition Role.
Knowledge Of Medical Terminology, Nutrition Guidelines, And Dietary Restrictions.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Interact With Patients, Healthcare Providers, And Other Staff Members.
Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced Environment And Handle Multiple Tasks Efficiently While Maintaining Attention To Detail.
