Job Description

  1. Perform MRI scans: The MRI technologist traveler will be responsible for performing MRI scans on patients at various UCHealth facilities. This includes operating the MRI machine, positioning patients correctly, and ensuring high-quality images are produced.
  2. Ensure patient safety and comfort: The traveler must prioritize patient safety and comfort during MRI procedures. This includes screening patients for contraindications, explaining the procedure, and monitoring patients throughout the scan.
  3. Maintain equipment: It is the responsibility of the traveler to ensure the MRI machine is properly maintained and calibrated. This may include performing routine checks, troubleshooting technical issues, and reporting any malfunctions.
  4. Adhere to safety protocols: The MRI technologist traveler must strictly adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines, including proper use of protective equipment, maintaining a clean and sterile environment, and following radiation safety measures.
  5. Collaborate with healthcare team: The traveler will work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients. This may include communicating scan results, assisting with patient care, and participating in multidisciplinary meetings.
  6. Travel to various locations: As a traveler, the MRI technologist will have the opportunity to work at multiple UCHealth facilities. This requires the ability to adapt to different work environments and establish positive working relationships with new teams.
  7. Maintain accurate records: The traveler must maintain accurate and detailed records of all MRI procedures, including patient information, scan parameters, and any adverse reactions or incidents.
  8. Continuously improve skills: The traveler is expected to stay updated on new MRI technology and techniques and participate in ongoing education and training to improve their skills and knowledge.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Radiography Or Related Field: A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Radiography Or A Related Field Is Typically Required For Mri Technologist Positions At Uchealth. This Ensures That Candidates Have A Strong Foundation In Radiologic Technology And Are Prepared To Handle The Advanced Equipment And Procedures Involved In Mri Imaging.

  • Arrt Certification In Mri: The American Registry Of Radiologic Technologists (Arrt) Offers A Specialized Certification In Mri, Which Is Often Required For Mri Technologist Positions At Uchealth. This Certification Demonstrates That Candidates Have Met A High Standard Of Knowledge And Skill In The Field Of Mri Imaging.

  • State Licensure: Most States Require Mri Technologists To Be Licensed In Order To Practice. Uchealth Will Likely Require Candidates To Hold A Current And Valid State License In Order To Be Considered For A Mri Technologist Traveler Position.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience: While Some Entry-Level Positions May Be Available, Most Mri Technologist Traveler Positions At Uchealth Require A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience. This Ensures That Candidates Have A Strong Foundation In Mri Imaging And Are Able To Handle The Demands Of A Travel Position.
