Technical Expertise: A Mobility Technician At Uchealth Must Possess A Strong Understanding Of Various Mobility Devices Such As Wheelchairs, Crutches, Walkers, And Canes. They Should Also Have Knowledge Of Medical Equipment And Devices Used To Assist With Mobility, Such As Patient Lifts And Transfer Boards.
Physical Strength And Dexterity: This Role Requires Physical Strength And Dexterity To Safely Assist Patients With Mobility Needs. The Ability To Lift And Maneuver Patients With Varying Levels Of Mobility Is Essential.
Compassion And Patience: A Mobility Technician Must Have A Compassionate And Patient Demeanor, As They Will Be Working Closely With Patients Who May Be Experiencing Physical Limitations And Difficulties. They Must Be Able To Communicate Effectively And Provide Emotional Support To Patients And Their Families.
Attention To Detail: A Mobility Technician Must Pay Close Attention To Detail When Assessing A Patient's Mobility Needs And Choosing The Appropriate Equipment For Them. They Must Also Ensure That All Equipment Is Properly Maintained And In Good Working Condition.
