They will also have a valid state license and/or certification in Medical Laboratory Science. The Medical Lab Scientist will be responsible for performing laboratory tests and analyses on patient specimens to provide valuable data and information needed to diagnose and treat diseases. The successful candidate will possess excellent problem-solving and communication skills, be highly organized, and have the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
