In this role, you will work closely with physicians and radiation therapists to create treatment plans for patients using advanced computer software and specialized equipment.   1. Collaborate with physicians and radiation therapists to develop treatment plans for cancer patients using advanced computer software and specialized equipment.
  2. Utilize dosimetry techniques to accurately calculate and deliver radiation doses to targeted areas.
  3. Conduct quality assurance checks to ensure accuracy and safety of treatment plans.
  4. Communicate effectively with patients to explain treatment plans and address any concerns or questions.
  5. Keep up-to-date with advancements in medical dosimetry and incorporate new techniques and technologies into treatment plans.
  6. Maintain accurate records and document all aspects of treatment plans.
  7. Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure the well-being of patients and staff.
  8. Collaborate with other members of the medical team to provide comprehensive care for patients.
  9. Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
  10. Maintain a high level of professionalism and compassion in all interactions with patients and their families.
  11. Serve as a resource and mentor for other medical dosimetry staff.
  12. Continuously evaluate and improve processes to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of treatment planning.
  13. Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
  14. Represent UCHealth in a positive manner and uphold the organization's values and mission.

Job Qualifications
  • A Degree In Medical Dosimetry: The Candidate Must Have A Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Medical Dosimetry From An Accredited Program.

  • Certification From The Medical Dosimetrist Certification Board (Mdcb): The Candidate Must Possess A Valid Certification From The Mdcb, Demonstrating Their Knowledge And Competency In Medical Dosimetry.

  • Experience With Treatment Planning Systems: The Candidate Must Have Experience Working With Treatment Planning Systems Such As Eclipse, Pinnacle, Or Raystation.

  • Knowledge Of Radiation Therapy Procedures: The Candidate Must Have A Thorough Understanding Of Radiation Therapy Procedures, Including Image-Guided Radiation Therapy (Igrt), Intensity-Modulated Radiation Therapy (Imrt), And Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (Sbrt).

  • Strong Communication And Teamwork Skills: The Candidate Must Have Excellent Communication Skills To Effectively Collaborate With Radiation Oncologists, Medical Physicists, And Other Members Of The Healthcare Team. They Should Also Have The Ability To Work Well In A Team Environment.
