  1. Greet and welcome patients as they arrive at the clinic, ensuring a positive and welcoming environment for all.
  2. Assist healthcare providers with various tasks, including taking patient vital signs, preparing exam rooms, and providing support during procedures.
  3. Prepare and maintain patient medical records and ensure all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
  4. Schedule appointments, answer phone calls, and assist with any patient inquiries or concerns.
  5. Follow established protocols and procedures to ensure the safety and confidentiality of patient information.
  6. Administer medications and vaccines, under the direction of a healthcare provider.
  7. Keep exam rooms and other clinic areas clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
  8. Collaborate with other medical staff, such as nurses and physicians, to provide comprehensive care to patients.
  9. Follow infection control and safety protocols to maintain a safe and healthy environment for patients and staff.
  10. Continuously seek to improve patient satisfaction by providing compassionate and efficient care.
  11. Attend training and educational sessions to stay updated on the latest medical practices and procedures.
  12. Adhere to all regulatory and compliance standards, including HIPAA and OSHA regulations.
  13. Perform other duties as assigned by healthcare providers or clinic management.

Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Medical Assistant At Uchealth Must Have A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Equivalent Degree To Be Considered For The Position.

  • Completion Of A Medical Assistant Training Program: Candidates For This Role Must Have Successfully Completed A Certified Medical Assistant Training Program In Order To Have The Necessary Skills And Knowledge For The Job.

  • Medical Assistant Certification: Uchealth Requires All Medical Assistants To Be Certified Through An Accredited Organization Such As The American Association Of Medical Assistants (Aama) Or The American Medical Technologists (Amt).

  • Experience Working In An Ambulatory Clinic Setting: Previous Experience Working In A Fast-Paced Ambulatory Clinic Or Similar Outpatient Healthcare Setting Is Preferred For This Role.

  • Excellent Communication And Patient Care Skills: As Medical Assistants At Uchealth Will Be Interacting With Patients On A Daily Basis, Strong Communication Skills And A Compassionate Approach To Patient Care Are Essential Qualities For This Job.
