  1. Assist with interventional procedures, including preparation of equipment and supplies, positioning of patients, and monitoring patient vital signs.
  2. Ensure the safety and comfort of patients during procedures, including providing emotional support and addressing any concerns or questions.
  3. Maintain a sterile and organized work environment, adhering to infection control protocols and following all safety procedures.
  4. Collaborate with healthcare team members, including physicians, nurses, and other technologists, to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
  5. Document and maintain accurate patient records, including procedure information and patient history.
  6. Perform quality control checks on equipment and report any malfunctions or issues to appropriate personnel.
  7. Stay up-to-date on industry advancements and best practices, and incorporate new techniques and technologies into practice.
  8. Provide education and instruction to patients on pre- and post-procedure care.
  9. Maintain inventory and order necessary supplies for interventional procedures.
  10. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, including HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality.
  11. Attend and participate in departmental meetings and trainings.
  12. Contribute to a positive and professional work environment, promoting teamwork and open communication.
  13. Handle any emergency situations calmly and efficiently.
  14. Embody the values and mission of UCHealth, providing compassionate and high-quality care to all patients.
  15. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or department leadership.

Job Qualifications
  • Current Certification As A Registered Interventional Technologist (Rit) Or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (Rcis) Through A Recognized Accrediting Body Such As Arrt Or Cci.

  • Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience In An Interventional Radiology Or Cardiology Setting, With Proficiency In Performing Diagnostic And Interventional Procedures.

  • Knowledge And Understanding Of Anatomy, Physiology, And Pathophysiology Related To Interventional Procedures.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Interact With Patients, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Team Members.

  • Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced And High-Stress Environment, While Maintaining Attention To Detail And Adhering To Strict Safety Protocols.
