
Infection Preventionist

- Develop and implement infection control policies and procedures in accordance with industry standards and guidelines.
- Conduct regular surveillance and analysis of infection data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and staff to ensure proper implementation of infection control practices.
- Provide education and training to staff on infection control protocols and best practices.
- Monitor compliance with infection control policies and procedures and report any non-compliance to management.
- Investigate and manage outbreaks of infectious diseases within the facility.
- Stay up-to-date on current infection control practices and guidelines to ensure the facility is following the latest standards.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to prevent and control the spread of infections.
- Communicate and collaborate with local health departments and other healthcare facilities to share information and best practices.
- Serve as a resource for patients, families, and staff regarding infection prevention and control.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives related to infection control.
- Maintain accurate records and reports related to infection control activities.
- Attend and participate in meetings, committees, and conferences related to infection control.
- Assist in developing and implementing emergency preparedness plans related to infection control.
- Foster a culture of safety and infection prevention throughout the facility.
Bachelor's Degree In Nursing, Public Health, Epidemiology Or Related Field.
Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Infection Prevention And Control In A Healthcare Setting.
Current Certification In Infection Control (Cic) From The Certification Board Of Infection Control And Epidemiology (Cbic).
Knowledge Of Local, State, And Federal Regulations And Guidelines Related To Infection Prevention And Control.
Strong Analytical Skills And Ability To Interpret And Analyze Data To Identify Trends And Patterns For Infection Prevention And Control.
