
Infant Feeding Technician

In this role, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our youngest patients receive the proper nutrition for their growth and development. - Prepare and administer formula, breast milk, and other specialized feedings to infants in accordance with physician orders and hospital policies
- Monitor and record infant intake and output, including formula and breast milk volumes, weight gain, and stool patterns
- Educate parents and caregivers on proper infant feeding techniques and provide support and guidance as needed
- Collaborate with the nursing team to ensure that all infants receive appropriate nutrition and fluids
- Maintain accurate and organized records of all feedings and procedures performed
- Follow strict sanitation and safety protocols when preparing and handling infant feedings
- Troubleshoot and address any issues or concerns related to infant feeding, such as intolerance or allergies
- Stay up-to-date on current best practices and guidelines for infant nutrition and feeding
- Communicate effectively with healthcare team members, including physicians, nurses, and dietitians, to provide comprehensive care for infants
- Provide emotional support and comfort to families of hospitalized infants, and maintain a compassionate and empathetic attitude at all times.
Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Ged
Completion Of A Recognized Training Program In Infant Feeding Or Nutrition
Experience Working With Infants And Their Families In A Healthcare Setting
Familiarity With Relevant Safety And Sanitation Standards For Infant Feeding Equipment And Supplies
Strong Communication Skills And The Ability To Educate And Support Families In Infant Feeding Practices
