  1. Accurately scan and index patient records to ensure that all information is organized and easily accessible for healthcare professionals.

  4. Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and standards related to health information management.
  5. Collaborate with other members of the HIM team to develop and implement efficient processes for scanning and indexing patient records.
  6. Monitor and prioritize scanning tasks to meet established deadlines and maintain productivity.
  7. Maintain confidentiality and security of all patient information in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
  8. Respond to requests for information and records from authorized parties in a timely and accurate manner.
  9. Troubleshoot any technical issues related to scanning and indexing processes.
  10. Stay current on industry trends and advancements in health information management practices.
  11. Train and educate other team members on proper scanning and indexing procedures.
  12. Participate in quality assurance activities to ensure the accuracy and completeness of scanned records.
