Master's Degree In Genetic Counseling: A Minimum Requirement For A Genetic Counselor Position At Uchealth Would Be A Master's Degree In Genetic Counseling From An Accredited Program. This Degree Provides The Necessary Training And Knowledge In Genetics, Counseling, And Medical Ethics.
Certification By The American Board Of Genetic Counseling (Abgc): Uchealth May Prefer Candidates Who Are Certified By The Abgc, Which Is The Highest Standard For Genetic Counseling Professionals. This Certification Demonstrates A High Level Of Competency And Expertise In The Field.
Experience In Adult Medical Genetics: Uchealth May Require Candidates To Have Previous Experience In Adult Medical Genetics, Either Through Internships, Clinical Rotations, Or Work Experience. This Experience Would Provide A Strong Foundation In Working With Patients And Families Who Have Genetic Conditions Or Are At Risk For Them.
