  2. Respond to emergency calls and provide advanced life support to patients.
  3. Assess patient condition and develop appropriate treatment plans.
  4. Administer medications and perform medical procedures according to established protocols.
  5. Communicate effectively and efficiently with other members of the medical team.
  6. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
  7. Stay up-to-date on current medical practices and procedures.
  8. Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment.
  9. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible patient outcomes.
  10. Remain calm and composed in high-stress situations.
  11. Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families.
  12. Operate and maintain medical equipment and supplies.
  13. Follow HIPAA guidelines and maintain patient confidentiality.
  14. Participate in ongoing training and education to enhance skills and knowledge.

Job Qualifications
  • Hold Current Certification As A Paramedic: The Flight Paramedic Must Be A Licensed And Certified Paramedic In The State Of Colorado.

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience As A Paramedic: Uchealth Requires Flight Paramedics To Have A Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience Working As A Paramedic In A High-Volume, Fast-Paced Emergency Setting.

  • Current Certifications In Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Acls) And Pediatric Advanced Life Support (Pals): The Flight Paramedic Must Hold Current Certifications In Acls And Pals To Provide Advanced Life Support During Air Transport.

  • Demonstrated Knowledge And Experience In Critical Care And Trauma Care: Uchealth Requires Flight Paramedics To Have A Strong Understanding Of Critical Care And Trauma Care Principles, As They Will Be Providing Treatment During Critical And Emergency Situations.

  • Ability To Obtain And Maintain Certifications In Advanced Trauma Life Support (Atls) And Prehospital Trauma Life Support (Phtls): The Flight Paramedic Must Be Able To Obtain And Maintain Certifications In Atls And Phtls To Provide Optimal Care To Patients During Air Transport.
