Job Description

Welcome to UCHealth's Facilities Maintenance team! We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team and ensure the safety and functionality of our facilities. As a member of our team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the physical infrastructure of our organization, which includes hospitals, clinics, and administrative buildings. We are looking for someone with a strong attention to detail, a passion for problem-solving, and the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.   1. Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of all facilities to ensure compliance with safety and health regulations.
  2. Troubleshoot and repair any mechanical, electrical, plumbing, or structural issues that may arise.
  3. Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed.
  4. Coordinate with other departments to schedule and complete maintenance tasks with minimal disruption to daily operations.
  5. Respond promptly to any urgent or emergency maintenance requests.
  6. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including storage areas and equipment.
  7. Monitor and maintain inventory levels of maintenance supplies and equipment.
  8. Perform preventative maintenance tasks to ensure the longevity and efficiency of facilities.
  9. Stay up-to-date on industry best practices and safety protocols.
  10. Collaborate with team members to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
  11. Assist in training new team members and providing guidance and support as needed.
  12. Work with outside contractors and vendors as needed for major repairs or projects.
  13. Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  14. Provide excellent customer service to all staff, patients, and visitors.
  15. Embrace a culture of continuous improvement and actively contribute ideas for enhancing facility operations.

Job Qualifications

  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Equivalent Is Typically Required For A Facilities Maintenance Technician Position At Uchealth.

  • Relevant Experience: Previous Experience In Facilities Maintenance, Building Operations, Or A Related Field Is Highly Desirable. This Includes Experience With Hvac Systems, Electrical Systems, Plumbing, And General Building Maintenance.

  • Technical Skills: A Strong Understanding Of Technical Concepts And The Ability To Troubleshoot And Repair Various Building Systems Is Essential For This Role. Familiarity With Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (Cmms) And Building Automation Systems (Bas) Is Also Preferred.

  • Physical Ability: The Role Of A Facilities Maintenance Technician Involves Physical Labor, Such As Lifting Heavy Objects, Climbing Ladders, And Standing For Long Periods Of Time. Candidates Must Be Able To Meet The Physical Demands Of The Job.

  • Customer Service Skills: Facilities Maintenance Technicians At Uchealth Often Interact With Patients, Visitors, And Other Staff Members. Strong Communication And Customer Service Skills Are Necessary To Effectively Address And Resolve Any Maintenance Issues That May Arise.
