- Provide lifesaving care to patients in emergency situations.
- Administer basic medical treatments and procedures in accordance with established protocols and standards.
- Assess patient condition and respond quickly and appropriately to changes in medical status.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient care and treatment.
- Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and other medical professionals.
- Safely transport patients to medical facilities and provide ongoing care during transport.
- Operate and maintain emergency medical equipment and vehicles.
- Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.
- Participate in ongoing training and education to stay current with medical advancements and protocols.
- Maintain a calm and professional demeanor in high-stress situations.
- Work collaboratively with other EMTs and medical professionals to provide coordinated care.
- Demonstrate compassion, empathy, and respect for patients and their families.
- Follow all policies and procedures of UCHealth and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
- Continuously strive to improve patient care and promote the mission of UCHealth.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude and represent UCHealth in a positive light.
Current Emt Certification: The Candidate Should Possess A Valid Emt Certification From An Accredited Institution.
Basic Life Support (Bls) Certification: The Candidate Must Have A Current Bls Certification From The American Heart Association Or The American Red Cross.
Experience: A Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience As An Emt In A Hospital Or Emergency Setting Is Preferred.
Physical Fitness: The Candidate Must Be Physically Fit And Able To Perform The Duties Of An Emt, Which Can Include Lifting And Carrying Patients.
Communication And Interpersonal Skills: The Candidate Should Have Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Interact With Patients, Their Families, And Other Healthcare Professionals In A High-Stress Environment.
