As the Director of Clinical Engineering, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medical equipment and technology throughout our organization.   1. Oversee the management and maintenance of all medical equipment and technology throughout the organization.
  2. Develop and implement policies and procedures for the safe and effective use of medical equipment.
  3. Monitor and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements related to medical equipment and technology.
  4. Lead a team of clinical engineers and technicians, providing direction, guidance, and support in their daily tasks.
  5. Collaborate with other departments, including IT and clinical staff, to ensure seamless integration of technology into patient care.
  6. Stay up-to-date on industry trends, advancements, and best practices in clinical engineering.
  7. Evaluate and recommend new equipment and technology to improve patient care and outcomes.
  8. Manage the budget for the clinical engineering department, including equipment purchases and maintenance costs.
  9. Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure the proper functioning and safety of all medical equipment.
  10. Develop and maintain relationships with external vendors and service providers.
  11. Train and educate staff on the proper use and maintenance of medical equipment.
  12. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the overall patient experience.
  13. Communicate with hospital leadership and other stakeholders regarding the status of equipment and any potential issues.
  14. Foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement within the clinical engineering department.
  15. Uphold the values and mission of UCHealth by providing the highest quality of care to our patients.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Biomedical Engineering Or Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 7 Years Of Experience In Clinical Engineering, With At Least 3 Years In A Managerial Or Leadership Role.

  • Knowledge And Understanding Of Medical Equipment Maintenance, Repair, And Regulatory Compliance.

  • Strong Leadership And Communication Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Manage A Team And Collaborate With Other Departments.

  • Familiarity With Healthcare Industry Standards And Regulations, Including The Joint Commission And Hipaa.
