  1. Oversee all aspects of blood services, including collection, processing, and distribution to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  2. Monitor and maintain inventory levels of blood products to meet the needs of patients and minimize waste.
  3. Collaborate with blood donation centers and other organizations to acquire necessary blood donations.
  4. Train and supervise staff members involved in blood services, ensuring proper procedures are followed and customer service is maintained.
  5. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to blood services.
  6. Ensure the safety and quality of blood products through proper storage, handling, and transport procedures.
  7. Coordinate with hospital departments to schedule blood product deliveries and meet urgent requests.
  8. Handle any issues or concerns related to blood services, including customer complaints or product recalls.
  9. Stay updated on industry developments and best practices to continuously improve blood services.
  10. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and assist with regulatory audits related to blood services.
  11. Communicate with healthcare providers and patients to understand their needs and provide appropriate blood products.
  12. Foster a positive and supportive work environment for team members involved in blood services.
  13. Adhere to all safety protocols and ensure staff members are properly trained in safety procedures.
  14. Collaborate with other departments within UCHealth to promote and enhance blood services.
  15. Represent UCHealth and the blood services department at community events and outreach programs to promote blood donation and educate the public.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Blood Services, Including Working With Blood Donors And Coordinating Blood Drives.

  • Familiarity With Blood Banking Regulations And Standards, Such As Fda And Aabb.

  • Strong Organizational And Project Management Skills, With The Ability To Multitask And Prioritize Tasks Effectively.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Diverse Stakeholders, Including Donors, Healthcare Providers, And Community Organizations.
