  1. Administer Anesthesia: The primary responsibility of a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) is to administer safe and effective anesthesia to patients before, during, and after surgical procedures.
  2. Monitor Patient Vital Signs: It is the responsibility of the CRNA to closely monitor patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, heart rate, and oxygen levels, throughout the anesthesia process to ensure patient safety and comfort.
  3. Evaluate Patient Medical History: The CRNA must thoroughly review and evaluate the patient's medical history and current health status to determine the appropriate type and dosage of anesthesia for each individual patient.
  4. Collaborate with Healthcare Team: CRNAs work closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement an anesthesia plan that meets the specific needs of each patient.
  5. Respond to Emergency Situations: In the event of an emergency, the CRNA must be able to quickly and effectively respond to any changes in the patient's condition and make necessary adjustments to the anesthesia plan.
  6. Educate Patients and Families: CRNAs play a vital role in educating patients and their families about the anesthesia process, potential risks and side effects, and post-operative care instructions.
  7. Maintain Accurate Documentation: It is the responsibility of the CRNA to accurately document all aspects of the anesthesia process, including patient vital signs, medications administered, and any complications or changes in the patient's condition.
  8. Stay Up-to-Date with Industry Standards: To ensure the delivery of safe and effective anesthesia care, CRNAs must stay current with industry standards, advancements in technology, and best practices in anesthesia administration.
  9. Adhere to Ethical and Legal Standards: CRNAs must adhere to ethical and legal standards of practice, including maintaining patient confidentiality and following all state and federal regulations.
  10. Participate in Quality Improvement Initiatives: The CRNA should actively participate in quality improvement initiatives to continuously improve the delivery of anesthesia care and patient

Job Qualifications
  • Master's Degree In Nurse Anesthesia From An Accredited Program

  • Current Certification From The National Board Of Certification And Recertification Of Nurse Anesthetists (Nbcrna)

  • Active Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Of Employment

  • Minimum Of Two Years Of Experience As A Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (Crna)

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Acls) And Basic Life Support (Bls) Certifications.
