
Cardiovascular Technician - PRN

- Perform cardiovascular diagnostic procedures, including EKGs, stress tests, and echocardiograms, with accuracy and precision.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to provide high-quality care to patients.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhering to all infection control and safety protocols.
- Possess a strong understanding of cardiovascular anatomy, physiology, and pathology.
- Utilize critical thinking skills to assess and analyze patient data and provide accurate and timely results.
- Demonstrate compassion and empathy towards patients, ensuring their comfort and well-being during procedures.
- Monitor and document patient vital signs and report any abnormalities to the supervising physician.
- Keep accurate and thorough records of procedures performed and assist with patient charting as needed.
- Remain up-to-date on current trends, techniques, and equipment in the field of cardiology.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing education and answering any questions or concerns.
- Adhere to all hospital and department policies and procedures.
- Maintain and track inventory of supplies and equipment, notifying appropriate personnel when supplies need to be replenished.
- Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, as needed, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Continuously seek opportunities for professional growth and development.
Education And Training: A Minimum Of An Associate's Degree In Cardiovascular Technology Or A Related Field Is Typically Required For This Role. Additional Certifications Or Specialized Training In Cardiac Procedures, Such As Electrocardiography Or Echocardiography, May Also Be Preferred.
Experience: Prior Experience Working As A Cardiovascular Technician In A Hospital Or Clinical Setting Is Strongly Preferred. This May Include Experience Performing Diagnostic Tests, Assisting With Cardiac Procedures, And Operating Specialized Equipment.
Knowledge Of Cardiac Procedures: A Strong Understanding Of Various Cardiac Procedures, Including Ekgs, Stress Tests, Cardiac Catheterizations, And Pacemaker Insertions, Is Essential For This Role. The Candidate Should Also Be Familiar With The Latest Technology And Techniques Used In These Procedures.
Attention To Detail: As A Cardiovascular Technician, Accuracy And Attention To Detail Is Crucial For Obtaining Accurate Test Results And Ensuring Patient Safety. The Ideal Candidate Should Be Able To Follow Precise Protocols And Document Procedures Accurately.
Communication And Interpersonal Skills: Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Necessary For This Role. The Candidate Will Be Working Closely With Patients, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Professionals, So The Ability To Effectively Communicate And Collaborate Is Essential. Strong Customer Service Skills Are Also Important For Providing A Positive Patient Experience.
