Job Description

In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and calibrating a wide range of biomedical equipment to ensure it meets industry standards and supports the delivery of high-quality healthcare services.   1. Perform routine and preventative maintenance on a variety of biomedical equipment to ensure proper functioning and compliance with industry standards.
  2. Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions, making necessary repairs and adjustments.
  3. Utilize specialized tools and testing equipment to calibrate and certify equipment for accuracy and safety.
  4. Keep detailed records of equipment maintenance, repairs, and calibrations to track performance and identify potential issues.
  5. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure equipment is properly set up and functioning for patient care.
  6. Stay current with industry advancements and changes in technology to make recommendations for equipment upgrades and replacements.
  7. Monitor inventory levels of replacement parts and equipment and make recommendations for purchases.
  8. Follow all safety protocols and procedures when handling and working with biomedical equipment.
  9. Provide exceptional customer service to healthcare staff by promptly responding to equipment issues and providing timely and effective solutions.
  10. Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance technical skills and knowledge of biomedical equipment.
  11. Adhere to all organizational policies and procedures and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
  12. Communicate and collaborate effectively with team members and management to ensure smooth operations and optimal patient care.
  13. Prioritize and manage workload to meet deadlines and respond to urgent equipment needs.
  14. Uphold the mission and values of UCHealth by delivering high-quality service and supporting the overall goals of the organization.

Job Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree In Biomedical Engineering Technology Or Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In Biomedical Equipment Maintenance And Repair.

  • Certification From The Association For The Advancement Of Medical Instrumentation (Aami) Or Similar Organization.

  • Knowledge Of Relevant Medical Equipment And Technology, Including Diagnostic Imaging, Patient Monitoring, And Life Support Equipment.

  • Strong Troubleshooting And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Work Independently And As Part Of A Team.
