  1. Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of medical equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  2. Conduct regular inspections and calibrations of equipment to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  3. Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions, and develop solutions to address issues in a timely manner.
  4. Keep detailed records of all maintenance, repairs, and equipment usage in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  5. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to understand the specific needs and requirements for medical equipment in different departments.
  6. Train and educate staff on proper usage, handling, and maintenance of medical equipment.
  7. Stay up-to-date on new technologies and advancements in medical equipment, and make recommendations for equipment upgrades or replacements when necessary.
  8. Ensure all equipment is properly cleaned, sterilized, and maintained to prevent contamination and ensure patient safety.
  9. Maintain inventory of equipment and order necessary parts and supplies to ensure availability and proper functioning of equipment.
  10. Work with vendors and manufacturers to schedule routine maintenance and repairs, and manage service contracts.
  11. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe work environment for both staff and patients.
  12. Provide exceptional customer service and communicate effectively with all stakeholders, including patients, staff, and management.
  13. Act as a role model for best practices and promote a culture of continuous improvement within the biomedical equipment team.
  14. Participate in on-call rotations and respond to emergency equipment repairs as needed.
  15. Comply with all company policies and regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA guidelines.

Job Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree In Biomedical Engineering Or Related Field.

  • Certification As A Biomedical Equipment Technician (Cbet) Or Equivalent.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working With Medical Equipment In A Hospital Or Healthcare Setting.

  • Knowledge Of Medical Equipment Maintenance, Repair, And Calibration Procedures.

  • Strong Communication And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Work Independently And As Part Of A Team.
