Bachelor's Degree In Athletic Training: A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Athletic Training From An Accredited Institution Is Required For This Position. This Ensures That The Candidate Has Received The Proper Education And Training In The Field Of Sports Medicine And Injury Prevention.
Certification From The National Athletic Trainers' Association (Nata): The Candidate Should Hold A Current Certification From Nata As A Certified Athletic Trainer (Atc). This Certification Is A Nationally Recognized Credential That Demonstrates The Candidate's Knowledge And Skills In The Field.
State Licensure: The Candidate Should Be Licensed As An Athletic Trainer In The State Where They Will Be Working. This Ensures That They Meet The State's Requirements For Practicing As An Athletic Trainer And Are Knowledgeable About The Laws And Regulations Governing The Profession In That State.
