  1. Conduct initial evaluations and assessments of patients, athletes, and their injuries to determine the best course of treatment.
  2. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients based on their specific needs and goals.
  3. Administer therapeutic interventions and techniques to aid in the rehabilitation and recovery process.
  4. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and effective care for patients.
  5. Educate patients, athletes, and their families on injury prevention strategies and proper techniques for exercises and activities.
  6. Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient progress and treatment plans.
  7. Communicate and coordinate with coaches, trainers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care for athletes.
  8. Monitor and adjust treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal recovery for patients.
  9. Stay up-to-date on current trends and developments in athletic training and sports medicine.
  10. Adhere to all ethical and legal standards of practice and maintain patient confidentiality.
  11. Participate in team meetings and contribute to the overall success and development of the athletic training program.
  12. Provide exceptional customer service to patients, athletes, and their families.
  13. Maintain a clean and safe treatment environment.
  14. Demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
  15. Adhere to all policies and procedures of UCHealth and follow all applicable laws and regulations.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree In Athletic Training: A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Athletic Training From An Accredited Institution Is Required For This Position. This Ensures That The Candidate Has Received The Proper Education And Training In The Field Of Sports Medicine And Injury Prevention.

  • Certification From The National Athletic Trainers' Association (Nata): The Candidate Should Hold A Current Certification From Nata As A Certified Athletic Trainer (Atc). This Certification Is A Nationally Recognized Credential That Demonstrates The Candidate's Knowledge And Skills In The Field.

  • State Licensure: The Candidate Should Be Licensed As An Athletic Trainer In The State Where They Will Be Working. This Ensures That They Meet The State's Requirements For Practicing As An Athletic Trainer And Are Knowledgeable About The Laws And Regulations Governing The Profession In That State.

  • Experience In A Clinical Setting: Previous Experience Working In A Medical Office Or Clinical Setting Is Highly Desirable For This Position. This Demonstrates The Candidate's Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced And High-Pressure Environment, As Well As Their Knowledge Of Medical Terminology And Procedures.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As An Athletic Trainer, The Candidate Will Be Working With A Diverse Group Of Patients, Including Athletes, Coaches, And Medical Professionals. Therefore, Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Essential For Building Rapport With Patients And Collaborating Effectively With Other Healthcare Professionals.
