- Assist anesthesia providers in preparing and maintaining anesthesia equipment and supplies.
- Monitor and troubleshoot anesthesia equipment and alert providers of any issues.
- Ensure patient safety by following proper sterilization and infection control procedures.
- Prepare and position patients for procedures, including placing monitoring devices.
- Assist with the induction and emergence of anesthesia.
- Monitor patient vital signs and communicate any changes to anesthesia providers.
- Anticipate and proactively address the needs of the anesthesia team during procedures.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of procedures and supplies used.
- Restock and maintain inventory of anesthesia supplies and equipment.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current on best practices and new technology.
- Collaborate with other healthcare team members to provide excellent patient care.
- Maintain a clean and well-organized work environment.
- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures.

High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Education Requirement For An Anesthesia Technician At Uchealth Is A High School Diploma Or Equivalent. This Ensures That The Candidate Has A Basic Level Of Education And Knowledge In Order To Perform The Duties Of The Job.
Certification In Anesthesia Technology: Candidates With A Certification In Anesthesia Technology Are Preferred For This Position. This Certification Demonstrates That The Candidate Has Completed A Formal Training Program And Has The Necessary Knowledge And Skills To Perform The Duties Of An Anesthesia Technician.
Previous Experience In A Healthcare Setting: Prior Experience Working In A Healthcare Setting, Specifically In The Anesthesia Department, Is Highly Desirable For This Position. This Experience Provides The Candidate With A Basic Understanding Of The Role And Responsibilities Of An Anesthesia Technician.
Knowledge Of Medical Terminology And Procedures: Anesthesia Technicians At Uchealth Are Required To Have A Strong Understanding Of Medical Terminology And Procedures Related To Anesthesia. This Includes Knowledge Of Different Types Of Anesthesia, Equipment Used, And Safety Protocols.
