- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans for BMT patients.
- Monitor and assess patient progress and make necessary adjustments to care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Document patient information accurately and timely in electronic medical records.
- Educate patients and their families on BMT procedures and self-care techniques.
- Ensure compliance with infection control and safety protocols.

Bachelor's Degree In Nursing Or Related Field: Acps Working In Bmt Infusion At Uchealth Are Expected To Have A Strong Foundation In Nursing And Patient Care. A Bachelor's Degree In Nursing Or A Related Field Demonstrates A Higher Level Of Education And Knowledge Necessary For This Advanced Role.
Registered Nurse (Rn) License: A Valid Rn License Is Required For All Acp Positions At Uchealth, Including Those In Bmt Infusion. This License Ensures That The Individual Has Met The State's Requirements For Safe Nursing Practice And Has The Necessary Skills To Provide Patient Care.
Bmt And Infusion Experience: To Be An Acp In The Bmt Infusion Department At Uchealth, Candidates Should Have Prior Experience In Both Bone Marrow Transplant (Bmt) And Infusion. This Experience Is Essential For Understanding The Unique Needs Of These Patients And Providing Specialized Care.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Acls) Certification: As An Acp In The Bmt Infusion Department, The Individual Will Be Responsible For Administering And Monitoring Various Medications And Treatments. Having An Acls Certification Demonstrates A Higher Level Of Knowledge And Skills In Managing Cardiac Emergencies And Administering Advanced Cardiac Medications.
Excellent Communication And Teamwork Skills: Acps At Uchealth Work Closely With A Multidisciplinary Team To Provide Comprehensive Care To Patients. Therefore, Strong Communication And Teamwork Skills Are Essential For Success In This Role. Candidates Should Be Able To Effectively Communicate With Physicians, Nurses, And Other Healthcare Professionals To Coordinate Patient Care And Promote Positive Outcomes.
