We are currently seeking a highly experienced Senior Governmental Affairs Advisor to join our team and provide strategic counsel on political and regulatory matters. In this role, you will have the opportunity to shape our interactions with government officials and policymakers, ensuring that our business interests are protected and supported. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the political landscape in the EMEA region, as well as a strong track record of building relationships with key stakeholders.   1. Develop and implement a comprehensive governmental affairs strategy for the EMEA region in alignment with the company's overall objectives.
  2. Monitor and analyze political and regulatory developments in the EMEA region and provide timely updates and recommendations to senior management.
  3. Build and maintain strong relationships with government officials, policymakers, and other key stakeholders in the EMEA region.
  4. Represent the company in meetings and discussions with government officials and industry associations to advocate for the company's interests.
  5. Provide strategic counsel to senior management on potential political and regulatory risks and opportunities.
  6. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations in the EMEA region.
  7. Develop and maintain a network of political and industry contacts to stay informed on emerging issues and trends.
  8. Prepare and deliver presentations and briefings to senior management and other stakeholders on political and regulatory matters.
  9. Manage and oversee the company's political and regulatory engagement activities, including events, campaigns, and initiatives.
  10. Stay up-to-date on industry best practices and trends in governmental affairs and make recommendations for continuous improvement.

  • Extensive Knowledge Of Government Policies And Regulations In The Emea Region: The Senior Governmental Affairs Advisor Must Have A Deep Understanding Of The Political Landscape, Regulatory Framework, And Legislative Processes In The Emea Region. This Knowledge Is Critical For Providing Strategic Advice To Ubs On Navigating Government Relations And Compliance Issues.

  • Strong Network And Relationships With Government Officials And Stakeholders: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Well-Established Network Of Contacts In The Government And Regulatory Bodies Across The Emea Region. This Will Enable Them To Effectively Advocate For Ubs's Interests And Build Relationships With Key Stakeholders.

  • Proven Experience In Government Affairs And Lobbying: The Senior Governmental Affairs Advisor Must Have A Track Record Of Success In Managing Government Relations And Lobbying Efforts In The Emea Region. This Includes Developing And Executing Effective Advocacy Strategies, Monitoring Policy Developments, And Engaging With Policymakers To Influence Decision-Making.

  • Excellent Communication And Negotiation Skills: Effective Communication And Negotiation Skills Are Essential For This Role. The Candidate Should Be Able To Articulate Complex Issues And Influence Decision-Makers, Both Internally And Externally. They Should Also Be Able To Navigate Different Cultures And Communication Styles Within The Diverse Emea Region.

  • Strong Understanding Of Financial Services Industry: A Solid Understanding Of The Financial Services Industry, Particularly In The Emea Region, Is Crucial For This Role. This Includes Knowledge Of Banking Regulations, Economic Trends, And Industry Developments That May Impact Ubs's Operations. Additionally, A Background In Finance Or Economics Would Be Beneficial For Analyzing And Interpreting Complex Financial Data.
