- Conduct offensive security testing, including penetration testing and vulnerability assessments, to identify potential weaknesses in UBS systems and processes.
- Create and execute detailed test plans to simulate real-world attack scenarios and assess the effectiveness of existing security measures.
- Collaborate with other security team members to develop and implement proactive strategies for improving UBS' overall security posture.
- Stay up to date on the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices to continuously improve testing techniques and methodologies.
- Provide regular reports and recommendations to management on security findings and potential risks.
- Work closely with stakeholders to ensure all findings are addressed and remediated in a timely manner.
- Conduct red team exercises to test the effectiveness of incident response procedures and identify areas for improvement.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of security policies, procedures, and standards.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on offensive security techniques and provide guidance and training to other team members.
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality and ethical standards in all aspects of the job.
- Continuously assess and improve the security testing process to ensure it is efficient and effective.
- Collaborate with external security experts and researchers to stay informed on emerging threats and vulnerabilities.
- Participate in incident response and remediation efforts as needed.
- Act as a representative for UBS in external security events and conferences.
- Act as a mentor and role model for junior team members, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
Strong Technical Skills: A Red Team Operator / Security Tester At Ubs Should Possess Strong Technical Skills And Be Well-Versed In Various Operating Systems, Programming Languages, And Network Security Protocols. They Should Also Have A Deep Understanding Of Ethical Hacking Techniques And Tools.
Experience In Penetration Testing: Ubs Requires Red Team Operators / Security Testers To Have A Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Penetration Testing. They Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Identifying Vulnerabilities And Conducting Successful Attacks On Systems And Networks.
Knowledge Of Industry Standards: Candidates Should Be Familiar With Industry Standards Such As Nist, Iso, And Pci-Dss, And Have Experience Implementing Them In Assessments And Tests. They Should Also Stay Updated On Emerging Security Trends And Technologies.
Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills: Red Team Operators / Security Testers Should Possess Excellent Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills To Identify And Exploit Vulnerabilities In Systems And Networks. They Should Also Be Able To Provide Effective Solutions To Mitigate These Vulnerabilities.
Strong Communication And Collaboration Skills: As Part Of A Larger Security Team, Red Team Operators / Security Testers Should Have Strong Communication And Collaboration Skills. They Should Be Able To Clearly Articulate Their Findings And Recommendations To Both Technical And Non-Technical Stakeholders And Work Effectively With Team Members To Achieve Common Goals.
