IT Systems Administrator – Solaris/LINUX

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated IT Systems Administrator – Solaris/LINUX to join the UBS team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining a high-availability environment for UBS’s Solaris and Linux servers. You will be responsible for designing, deploying, and troubleshooting systems related to Solaris and Linux, as well as collaborating with other areas of IT Infrastructure to ensure the highest level of service delivery.To be successful in this role, you must have a solid foundation in Solaris/LINUX, with experience in deploying, configuring, and troubleshooting Solaris and Linux systems. You must also be comfortable in a fast-paced, high-availability environment and have excellent problem-solving skills.If you have a passion for technology, a deep understanding of Solaris/LINUX, and a drive to deliver outstanding customer service, UBS would love to hear from you.

Responsibilities: • Manage and maintain high-availability environment for UBS’s Solaris and Linux servers • Design, deploy, and troubleshoot systems related to Solaris and Linux • Collaborate with other areas of IT Infrastructure to ensure the highest level of service delivery • Monitor and maintain system performance and security • Perform regular security audits and patch management of Solaris and Linux systems • Provide technical support for Solaris and Linux systems • Manage user accounts, system backups, and system upgrades • Develop and document best practices and procedures for Solaris and Linux systems • Work with other teams to ensure system reliability, scalability, and availability
