We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Investment Banker to join our M&A team with a focus on Shareholder Activism and Defense.   1. Conduct thorough research and analysis of potential investment opportunities, market trends, and industry developments to identify potential targets for M&A transactions.
  2. Develop and maintain relationships with top clients, including corporations, financial institutions, and investors, to understand their needs, goals, and objectives.
  3. Collaborate with senior team members to develop and execute strategic plans for shareholder activism and defense situations, including developing target lists, identifying potential buyers, and negotiating deals.
  4. Lead and manage the due diligence process for potential M&A transactions, including financial, legal, and operational analysis to assess the viability and risks of the deal.
  5. Prepare and present detailed financial models, valuation analyses, and other supporting materials to clients and senior management to support decision-making processes.
  6. Stay up-to-date with market trends, regulatory changes, and industry developments related to M&A and shareholder activism to provide valuable insights and recommendations to clients.
  7. Coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including legal, compliance, and risk management, to ensure smooth execution of transactions and compliance with all relevant regulations.
  8. Act as a key point of contact for clients, providing regular updates and progress reports, addressing any concerns or issues, and managing expectations throughout the transaction process.
  9. Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members, including analysts and associates, to support their professional growth and development.
  10. Demonstrate a strong commitment to upholding UBS's values and ethical standards in all dealings with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Finance, Economics, Or A Related Field

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Investment Banking, Specifically In M&A And Shareholder Activism/Defense

  • Strong Understanding Of Financial Markets, Valuation Techniques, And M&A Processes

  • Excellent Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Make Sound Decisions Under Pressure

  • Effective Communication And Negotiation Skills, With The Ability To Build And Maintain Relationships With Clients And Stakeholders.
