- Develop and maintain our Terraform and GitLab infrastructure.
- Design, implement, and automate processes to improve efficiency and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze and troubleshoot issues.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in DevOps.
- Implement and maintain monitoring and alerting systems.
- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to improve code quality.
- Work with the team to identify and implement new tools and technologies.
- Ensure the security and scalability of our infrastructure.
- Create and maintain documentation for our infrastructure and processes.
- Continuously monitor and improve system performance and availability.
- Participate in on-call rotation for production support.
- Train and mentor team members on Terraform and GitLab best practices.
- Collaborate with developers and other stakeholders to deploy software releases.
- Identify and troubleshoot issues in a timely manner.
- Communicate and coordinate with external vendors when necessary.
- Continuously evaluate and recommend improvements to our DevOps processes.
Proficiency In Terraform And Gitlab: The Ideal Candidate For This Role Should Have A Strong Understanding And Hands-On Experience With Both Terraform And Gitlab. They Should Be Able To Effectively Use These Tools To Automate Infrastructure Deployment And Manage Version Control For Software Development.
Experience With Cloud Platforms: Ubs Heavily Relies On Cloud Computing For Its Operations, So A Devops Engineer Should Have Experience Working With Major Cloud Platforms Such As Aws, Azure, Or Google Cloud. Knowledge Of Cloud Infrastructure As Code Tools Like Cloudformation Or Arm Templates Is Also Desirable.
Strong Scripting And Coding Skills: As A Devops Engineer, The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Writing Automation Scripts And Integrating Different Tools And Systems. Therefore, Proficiency In Scripting Languages Like Python, Bash, Or Powershell Is A Must. Additionally, Experience With Coding Languages Like Java, C#, Or Go Would Be Beneficial.
Understanding Of Ci/Cd Pipelines: Ubs Follows A Continuous Integration And Continuous Delivery (Ci/Cd) Approach For Software Development. The Candidate Should Have A Good Understanding Of Ci/Cd Principles And Experience In Setting Up And Maintaining Pipelines Using Tools Like Gitlab Ci, Jenkins, Or Teamcity.
Knowledge Of Infrastructure Monitoring And Logging: Monitoring And Logging Are Critical For Maintaining The Stability And Performance Of Ubs's Systems. A Devops Engineer Should Have Experience With Tools Like Prometheus, Grafana, Elk Stack, Or Datadog To Monitor And Troubleshoot Infrastructure Issues Effectively. They Should Also Be Able To Create Dashboards And Alerts For Proactive Monitoring.
