  1. Design and implement data solutions using Azure Databricks to support the strategic initiatives of the organization.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  3. Utilize strong knowledge of Azure Databricks to develop and maintain scalable data pipelines.
  4. Perform data modeling, data analysis, and data validation to ensure accuracy and completeness of data.
  5. Optimize and tune data solutions for performance and scalability.
  6. Identify and resolve data-related issues and troubleshoot technical problems.
  7. Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in Azure Databricks and propose innovative solutions to enhance data capabilities.
  8. Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to provide data insights and support data-driven decision making.
  9. Ensure compliance with data security and privacy policies.
  10. Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates on data projects and solutions.
  11. Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to improve the quality and efficiency of the data solutions.
  12. Mentor and guide junior data engineers and share best practices for data engineering.
  13. Continuously evaluate and improve data engineering processes and procedures.
  14. Work in an agile environment and adapt to changing priorities and requirements.
  15. Document data solutions, processes, and procedures for future reference.

Job Qualifications

  • Proficiency In Azure Databricks: The Candidate Should Possess An In-Depth Understanding Of Azure Databricks And Its Various Components, Including Clusters, Notebooks, And Jobs. They Should Have Hands-On Experience In Building And Deploying Data Pipelines, Data Lakes, And Data Warehouses Using Azure Databricks.

  • Strong Programming Skills: A Data Engineer At Ubs Should Be Proficient In At Least One Programming Language Such As Python, Java, Or Scala. They Should Also Have Experience In Using Sql For Data Manipulation And Querying.

  • Experience With Big Data Technologies: The Ideal Candidate Should Have Experience Working With Big Data Technologies Such As Hadoop, Spark, And Kafka. They Should Be Familiar With Distributed Computing Concepts And Have Experience In Optimizing Data Processing Workflows For Large Datasets.

  • Data Modeling And Etl Experience: A Data Engineer At Ubs Should Have Experience In Data Modeling And Designing Efficient Etl Processes. They Should Be Able To Understand Complex Data Structures And Design Data Pipelines To Transform And Load Data Into A Target Data Warehouse.

  • Cloud Infrastructure Knowledge: As Ubs Uses Azure As Its Primary Cloud Platform, The Candidate Should Have A Good Understanding Of Azure Cloud Services Such As Azure Storage, Azure Data Factory, And Azure Sql Database. They Should Also Be Familiar With Cloud Security And Best Practices In Managing Data In A Cloud Environment.
