  1. Develop and implement control room policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies.
  2. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of control room processes and make recommendations for improvements.
  3. Stay up-to-date with relevant laws and regulations in the financial services industry and ensure compliance within the organization.
  4. Lead and manage a team of control room professionals, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
  5. Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify any potential compliance issues and develop action plans to address them.
  6. Collaborate with other departments and teams to ensure consistent and effective compliance practices across the organization.
  7. Communicate and liaise with regulatory bodies and external auditors as needed.
  8. Investigate and resolve any compliance violations or breaches.
  9. Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on compliance policies and procedures.
  10. Regularly report on the status of compliance efforts to senior management and provide recommendations for improvement.
  11. Promote a culture of ethical behavior and integrity throughout the organization.
  12. Stay informed of industry best practices and make recommendations for implementing them within the organization.
  13. Continuously assess and improve the control room function to ensure it meets the changing needs of the business.
  14. Act as a trusted advisor to senior management on all compliance matters.
  15. Uphold the values and reputation of UBS through all interactions and work towards maintaining the integrity of the organization.

  • Strong Leadership Skills: The C&Orc Control Room Head Must Have Demonstrated Experience In Leading A Team And Managing Complex Projects In A Fast-Paced And Dynamic Environment. They Should Possess Excellent Communication And Decision-Making Skills To Effectively Guide Their Team And Collaborate With Other Departments.

  • In-Depth Knowledge Of Regulations And Compliance: The Role Requires A Deep Understanding Of Financial Regulations And Compliance Standards In The Emea Region, Particularly In The Areas Of Market Abuse, Insider Trading, And Conflicts Of Interest. The Candidate Must Have A Strong Track Record Of Successfully Implementing And Enforcing Compliance Policies And Procedures.

  • Experience In Risk Management: The C&Orc Control Room Head Will Be Responsible For Identifying And Analyzing Potential Risks To The Organization And Implementing Risk Mitigation Strategies. They Must Have A Strong Background In Risk Management And Be Able To Assess And Respond To Potential Threats To The Business.

  • Financial Industry Experience: A Strong Background In The Financial Industry Is Essential For This Role. The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 10 Years Of Experience In A Similar Position, Preferably In A Global Investment Bank. They Should Be Knowledgeable About The Industry And Have A Strong Understanding Of Market Dynamics And Trends.

  • Strategic Thinking And Problem-Solving Abilities: The C&Orc Control Room Head Must Be Able To Think Strategically And Proactively To Anticipate And Address Potential Compliance Issues. They Should Have Strong Analytical Skills And Be Able To Make Sound Decisions Under Pressure. The Ability To Identify And Solve Complex Problems Is Crucial For This Role.
