
Transportation Operations Officer

- Monitor and analyze transportation operations data to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations for process enhancements.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to establish and maintain effective relationships and partnerships.
- Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and policies at the federal, state, and local levels.
- Oversee the management of transportation contracts and vendors, including negotiating rates and terms.
- Conduct regular audits of transportation processes and procedures to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Develop and maintain transportation-related documentation, such as policies, procedures, and reports.
- Communicate transportation updates and changes to relevant parties, including senior management and employees.
- Train and educate staff on transportation procedures and policies.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in transportation operations.
- Identify and resolve transportation-related issues and escalate as needed.
- Manage the budget for transportation operations and make recommendations for cost-saving measures.
- Develop emergency response plans for transportation disruptions.
- Lead and coordinate transportation-related projects and initiatives.
- Ensure the safety and security of transportation operations and take necessary measures to mitigate risks.
Bachelor's Degree In Transportation Management, Logistics, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Transportation Operations, Preferably In A Government Or Large Organization Setting.
Knowledge Of Federal Regulations And Policies Related To Transportation Operations, Including Procurement And Transportation Contracts.
Experience With Managing And Analyzing Large Volumes Of Data And Using Transportation Management Systems.
Strong Communication And Leadership Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Internal And External Stakeholders To Ensure Efficient And Effective Transportation Operations.
