  1. Conduct thorough analysis of construction projects to determine accurate cost estimates.
  2. Utilize software and tools to assist in the estimation process.
  3. Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to gather information and ensure accuracy of estimates.
  4. Monitor and track project budgets, comparing actual costs to estimated costs.
  5. Identify potential risks and provide recommendations for cost-saving measures.
  6. Stay updated on industry trends and changes in construction costs to ensure accuracy of estimates.
  7. Communicate with contractors and vendors to obtain bids and negotiate prices.
  8. Provide regular reports and updates on project costs and progress.
  9. Assist in developing and implementing cost control strategies.
  10. Participate in project meetings and provide expertise on construction costs.
  11. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines.
  12. Continuously evaluate and improve upon estimation processes and procedures.
  13. Collaborate with other departments and teams within the GSA to ensure seamless project execution.
  14. Maintain accurate and organized records of all estimation information.
  15. Mentor and train junior team members on construction estimation techniques and processes.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Construction Management, Engineering, Or A Related Field.

  • At Least 3 Years Of Experience In Construction Estimating, Preferably In The Government Or Public Sector.

  • Knowledge Of Industry-Standard Estimating Software, Such As Rsmeans Or Proest, And Proficiency In Microsoft Excel.

  • Familiarity With Federal Contracting Processes And Regulations, Including The Federal Acquisition Regulations (Far).

  • Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Accurately Interpret And Evaluate Construction Plans, Specifications, And Cost Proposals.
