
Records and Information Management Specialist
The U.S. Department of State is seeking a highly qualified Records and Information Management Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading efforts to ensure the proper management and preservation of records and information systems. This position requires an individual with strong organizational, analytical and communication skills, as well as an understanding of records management principles and practices. Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement records and information management policies, procedures, and systems to ensure the proper management and preservation of records and information.
- Monitor and evaluate existing records and information management systems to ensure compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
- Train staff on records and information management policies, procedures, and systems.
- Establish and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure records and information management needs are met.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve records and information management processes.
- Design and implement procedures for the secure storage, retrieval, and destruction of records and information when appropriate.
- Monitor developments in records and information management and recommend changes to policies and procedures as needed.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure records and information management goals are met.
- Create reports related to records and information management processes, performance, and compliance.
- Ensure that records and information are accurately captured, stored, and maintained.

Bachelor's Degree In Information Management Or Related Field
