
Diplomatic Post - Office Transportation Specialist
The U.S. Department of State is looking for an Office Transportation Specialist to join its Diplomatic Post. This position is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to make a difference in the world by working in the heart of international diplomacy. The successful candidate will be an organized and reliable team player who enjoys problem solving and working with people from different cultures. Qualifications:• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.• At least 5 years of professional experience in office transportation, inventory management, and/or logistics. • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn new software quickly.• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.• Proven problem-solving and decision-making abilities.• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.• Knowledge of foreign languages is a plus.• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the transportation of personnel and goods in and out of the Diplomatic Post.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory, shipments, and other relevant transportation documents.
- Coordinate with vendors and other departments to ensure efficient transportation services.
- Monitor and maintain the post’s fleet of vehicles.
- Develop and implement transportation protocols and procedures.
- Establish cost-saving initiatives and improve efficiency.
- Liaise with other international agencies and organizations.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Provide guidance and assistance to staff members with transportation needs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
